Staro Hopovo Monastery is part of the Srem Diocese, located in the eastern part of Fruška Gora, about 2 km from the Novo Hopovo Monastery. According to tradition, it was founded by Despot Đorđe Branković in the late 15th century. The first written record dates to 1545–1546.
